Set up Better Files or Better Files React on Salesforce record pages to search, download, and delete files in bulk.

Better Files adds a file card to your Salesforce record pages. Open View All to search files by name, select several files, and download or delete them together.
This guide covers Better Files and Better Files React in desktop Lightning Experience. Shared workflows apply to both components; differences are called out on each page.
Choose a component
- Better Files is the original Lightning component. It uses the standard Salesforce file upload experience and the original file card and related list.
- Better Files React provides a React file card and related list with drag-and-drop uploads and per-file upload status. It requires both the Better Files and Better Files React permission sets.
Package versions that include React contain both components. Choose the matching name in Lightning App Builder. Older installations may need an upgrade before Better Files React is available.
Screenshots and the linked video show the original component. React has a different appearance but shares the main file workflows.
Set up Better Files
- Install the package and assign access.
- Add the component and configure your record page.
- Open View All and work with files.
What you can do
- Search the files on a record by name.
- Download or delete multiple selected files.
- Upload files directly to a record.
- Preview files using Salesforce’s file preview.
- Include email attachments from related emails.
Files remain in Salesforce. The records and files you can access depend on your Salesforce permissions and sharing settings.
